Not the best weather for the day but good for those who like a challenge.

It is the last official outing for the WWLL2023 season, but for those that want to continue playing the club will honour the league green fees for the rest of the season, which hopefully will continue well into October and maybe beyond.

The prize for each member of the BLUE Team is a coupon for a 9 Hole Green Fee. These can be picked at the Club and will are valid through the rest of the 2023 season as well as 2024.

Good morning, Gentlemen – 

The 2023 Wildwinds Men’s Golf League has come to an end! Glad to see a handful of folks out yesterday to close the season out.

Additionally — congratulations to Team Noonan for their 2023 Team Title! Team members may claim their prize from the pro shop any time before the end of 2023 golf season.

Lastly, I wanted to thank you all for your participation this season. I sincerely hope that you enjoyed yourselves, made some memorable shots and maybe a few new golfing buddies.

We’re always interested to hear about your experience, and I invite you to provide your feedback. A short survey has been setup HERE. It is 100% anonymous and optional. If you prefer, you may also send your ideas/questions/concerns to leagues@golfwildwinds.ca.

Good afternoon, Gentlemen – 

Lower turnout this week, as many have jumped back into the school/fall activities routine.

With one week to go, Team Noonan has officially clinched the 2023 team title, with Team McAvoy 5 points behind in 2nd. Team Gilmore and Team Spackler are within one point of each other in the fight for 3rd.

In the coming week, we’ll be sending out more info on team prizes, as well as an online survey for the 2023 season. Feel free to email us at leagues@golfwildwinds.ca if you’d prefer to share feedback that way.

WWML Year-End Tournament Update

The year-end tournament is just two days away. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone!

Attached are the teams and starting holes. A few reminders:

  1. The event starts at 5pm sharp. Please arrive in time to get checked in, find your cart, and move to your starting hole before 5pm!.
  2. If you’re designated to start on the Front-9, you will play all 9 holes on the Front-9 (i.e., proceed to hole 1 after finishing hole 9). The same logic applies for the Back-9. Prizes will be awarded to both the Front-9 and Back-9 winners.
  3. The tournament rules are attached and should cover other questions.

Good day, WWLL participants!

A bit of a wet day today, resulting in only 26% participation.

We look forward to seeing everyone on the 22nd. for the Annual Banquet outing… hoping that the weather cooperates.

I will pick up the sign-up sheet on Thursday morning for those that have yet to sign up. If your regular partner is not available feel free to sign up anyway. We will do our best to pair you up with someone with a similar skill level … 

Details on pairings and starting holes will follow on the weekend.

With only two weeks remaining, Team Noonan has clinched 1st for the year-long team competition. 2nd and 3rd place are still up for grabs as we head into the final week of teams play.
